Where Do I Get The Red Gyarados In Soul Silver?

You can get it in the lake of rage. But you need the 6th gym badge to get there and you also need to get surf to get to the city. Then go to the entrance to the next route, but if you go in the next building in the route there will be 2 rocket grunts there and you have to pay them 1000 dollers to pass so I whould take the other way. And then when you get through there will be trainers there too. And then after you face the trainers the lake of rage will be ahead and then you will find the red gyarados at level 30. But make sure you have surf, and also to save because I'm warning you, if you kill this guy, it will never come back. Even if you beat the elite 4.
I killed it because well I didnt really want the guy anyway because I already had him in my other game.

You get it at the lake of rage north of Mahogany town. You use surf , go across the lake, and talk to the red gyarados. If you flee, then the red gyarados is gone forever.

All you have to do is go to the lake of rage  follow the story plot and you will eventually run into him you will have a 100% chance of running into it because its just part of the game and plus you need to battle it to battle the 7th gym leader.... Oh and I suggest bringing along some net balls and (or) ultra balls.

Go to lake of rage and at the entrance you should see team rocket and you will have to pay 1000 to them and go to where the red gyarados is its in the north path of lake of rage then battle it and capture it

If you can catch a normal gyarados you could catch a shiny gyarados. The red gyarados is just a shiny gyarados depending on the pokemon it will have one stat that is higher than normal.

Yes you can catch the red gyarados because I have,don't use a quick ball because you probably wont catch it just weaken it then use  a normal ball or a great ball.

Like they all say but here`s some advice before battling the red gyarados save the game just in case you make it faint.

Go to the lake of rage and it will be swimming in the water by the floating trees.

Yes you can! I think it is like lv 30 so yea and you get it at the Lake of Rage it will be in the water you might want to save if you want to catch it.

You go north of mahogany town, surf ont teh lake and talk to gyarados. If you flee you can get another chance later on. Don't ask me how you get another chance. All I know is that it happened to me so it possible.
