I Have A Emerson MTS/SAP TV And Lost Remote, Purchased 2 Universals And They Do Not Work. Can You HELP?

I have the same TV and didn't have a remote, I bought a universal one from Radio Shack and it worked fine (It's a cheap RCA remote)
