The following are the steps needed for you to reset your Nokia 1202 and at least three of the codes that may be helpful in this matter. A hard reset generally costs you to lose your information. For that reason we have also included ways for a soft reset to help you preserve your data in the phone. If neither option works there is a third option included.
Hard Reset
* First try to enter code *#7370# and then push the dial button. This will submit a request to the phone for unlocking it and allowing you to hard reset it.
* The default security code is 12345, so you should type this in when it requests for the security code.
* You could lose all of your information using these two codes. So, you should always back up your phone data if you are afraid to lose it.
Soft Reset
* For a soft reset type in *#7780# and then dial. The security code will still be 12345 since this is your default.
* If the phone has reset it will open and allow you to reconfigure your phone. It goes back to the factory defaults with a soft reset. You should not lose any information this way.
Another Option
* Some phones have an option where you can take out the battery and even the SIM card. If you remove both and then let the battery die you should be able to hard reset it that way.
* Once the battery is dead plug the battery and SIM card back in and let it recharge.
* After it is fully recharged try getting into your phone. A dead battery and reloading of the SIM card can be like a hard reset.
The above are all the ways others have tried and succeeded.
