How Do You Get Into The Kanto Region In Pokemon Platinum?

You can't get into the Kanto Region in Pokemon platinum Just the Resort Area.You can go there after you beat the elite for you can capture different kinds of pokemon from the  kanto johto and hoen there.Not all of them ,but a lot more than you could.Hope this helps.(Also in the up coming games Heart Gold and Soul Silver you will be able to go to the Kanto)

You can catch mew by going into the relics and solving the puzzels

I have heart gold and I beat the elite four in jhoto and the campion named red in the kanto region. But there isn't any elite four in kanto just the champion. He is at the top of mt. Sliver and you only get to battle him once. You also meet Steve the hoenn champion and he lets you catch latais.  Legendaries you can catch in heart gold and soul silver are mewtwo, kyogre, groudon, rayquaza, ho-oh, lugia, zapdos, articuno, moltres, and latais. I know because I caught all of them. And maybe even mew. But that will probably be an event for mew

Sorry. You probably wont ever-not in daimond, pearl, or platinum. However, in pokemon hg and ss releasing in march, you are only in jhoto and kanto. In 2013, youll be in hoenn. In mid 2011, youll be in two reigons, the new one and aan older one. In 2016, youll return to kanto. It would be pokemon's 20th annaversary then. There are no cheats for this, so youd have to hack.
