It totally depends on what kind of installation type and computer is being upgraded. If the computer has over 1 GB of RAM, Dual core processor, and is vista capable, then it will take a few hours. I spent 4h 48min upgrading a Pentium D 930, 3gb RAM "Vista Ready"computer to upgrade. Also, if you are just upgrading it will take a shorter time than a complete installation.
