What Is The Difference Between Operating, Application, Utility Software?

Utility software is to do with working with and maintaining the computer itself. Application software is programs that allow you to do specific things (or  applications) on the computer such as creating documents. An operating system is the name given to software that runs on the comuter and allows you to perform different appllications on it.
