When you log on to the Internet and log on to any of the most popular websites on the Internet, such as Yahoo, Google, the Microsoft Corporation-owned MSN (Microsoft Network, which are the current owners of Hotmail), MySpace (a well-known social networking website on the Internet, which has rapidly gained popularity amongst the younger generation) and YouTube (possibly the best-known website on the Internet on which you can share videos with your friends), you will find a link which will help you to turn off the safety search which is available on these websites, which are amongst the most popular and frequently-visited websites on the Internet.

By clicking on this link, you can turn off the safety search at Yahoo, Google and the other popular website while searching for videos or websites on the Internet. If you turn on the safety search at Yahoo, Google and the other popular website while searching for videos or websites when you are online, your children can log on the Internet and surf websites on which the content which is inappropriate for their viewing.

Can you check the following and let me know what you find:

1. Default search engine (make sure your preferred search engine is the Default) - Ref[1]

2. Clear cache and cookies (all time, or at least from before the time when you started having this redirect) - Ref[2]

3. Disable all extensions (to make sure this is not the issue). If this resolves the redirect of all searches to yahoo.com, then start re-enabling the extensions one at a time to identify the one that is causing the redirect.

4. Are searches from other browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari), also redirected to yahoo.com?

If so, check what programs you may have installed around the time this redirect started.

5. Are redirects also occurring when you search from www.google.com?
