We’ll start off by finances. All your banking needs are done on the computer. 50 years ago you had a file, now they pull your file on the computer where every bit of information is just a key stroke away. I.E: Name, date of birth, social security #, address, phone # etc. You can log in to your financial institutions website and get your account balance or even apply for a loan. Because of computers we have Credit Cards, which are a important aspect in life. With a credit card you can pay bills on the computer without having to leave your house of office. You can buy clothes to every day household items.
As far as college goes, you need a computer for pretty much everything. You can enroll for classes via computer. You can apply for student loans, grants, scholarships and much more cause of the computer.
In most classes you must have a computer for your assignments. You can look up helpful information for an assignment, as well as print it out and use as a studying tool. All reports must be typed on a computer to get your full credit.
When you complete college you will be going into your chosen career, in which you will be using a computer. Every business is not complete or functional without one. Most work is now done on computers and that is making it a lot easier for a lot of people. You can be over seas and work via computer. For some single parents it can get hard to manage work and the home but because of computers they can work from home which can make it a lot easier on the household. A lot of entrepreneurs are making good money on home based businesses. An example is: Ebay. You can make really good money selling items on Ebay, from cars to costumes to baby wipes.

They have changed our lives as we are able to access great amounts of knowledge from just the click of a button. We can communicate with anyone around the world with very little money needed. There are so many reasons including Email where would we be without email. This piece of technology has increased the rate of work done in the U.K. Instead of spending so much time on the phone, you could send brief queries out to your colleagues to gather data. You could even multitask while on interminable teleconferences. But this is one way in which email changes things. Communication over the years has improved a lot. People all over the world can communicate with each other whenever they choose to. The improvement of communication has enabled people across the world to know the latest news in far or neighbouring countries. The evolution of communication has given people capability to communicate with family members and friends all over the world. We wouldnt have email without computers.  Plus the Internet we wouldnt have the internet without  a computer. Internet revolutionized our lives in many ways. It changed the concept of communication and entertainment. Now we can text and video chat, send E-mails(Instead of letters) instantly. Search engines provide us way to search any information worldwide and helps us in getting up to date. We can watch live channels and play online games with others on the move with no need of TV and Gaming consoles. Internet provides us way of online shopping and gets our things delivered right at our doorstep; we can perform banking transactions with the Internet. It is also a way of distant education. The internet has made this world a global village and we are getting plenty of endless benefits from it. The internet is now used for Education, business, manufacturing firms, scientific research etc. The communication is now so easy, fast and efficient with the help of internet. We can work from home with an internet connection and is connected to the whole world.  The reasons just keep mounting up, but there is no real answer to this question as it has affected everyone in different ways, which means that we all have different  experiences with this piece of technology.    Hope this helps.

This sounds like you're trying to answer an essay question for school.  If that's the case, you should really write it on your own.  Think of what life would be like with no computers, no internet, no way to communicate information except over the phone, through the mail, and (maybe) through a fax machine (depending on how you're defining computer).  All information had to be tracked using paper, including large businesses, libraries, and government offices.  So... What has the computer done for communications, daily use, information access, the speed of contact to far-away areas...?

Computers have a larger affect than people think. Almost everything you do has a computer in it somewhere. To watch TV, buy a hot dog, withdraw $20 at an ATM. And anything that doesn't have a direct affect, computers have an indirect affect. Most items in our lives are made with the assistance of computers and made by robots. Computers link our world together and allow instant communication. It affects politics and has a major affect on the media. You can access anything in the world in an instant.
