In order to receive the right codes for your Uniden scanner, you need to first access the Uniden website, www.uniden.com/ and follow these instructions:
- Hover the cursor over the 'support' link and then select the 'product support' option from the drop-down menu.You need to then choose the correct product reference from your personal uniden scanner. Once you've done that, select the codes and downloads for your particular scanner.
- To find the local programming codes, you should enter your zip code in order to find them.To program your device correctly, you need find the scanner frequencies and give each one a number beginning from 1. You have to do this in order to represent the location that is located the in the scanner's memory.
- After you've done that, turn on your canner and then press on the 'E/PGM' button displayed. An icon will then appear on the screen which indicates that it is in program mode. You should see a number 1, but if you don't, 1 and 'hold' together.
- You should then enter the first frequency number on the keypad as it is shown and then once again press the 'E/PGM' button. This should program it into the scanner's memory.
- After that, press on the 'up' button to move onto the next channel, you should continue to do this until you have reached the last channel. When you are finished, simply press the 'hold' or the 'scan' button to get out of program mode.
