Your Snapchat could be saying that for a number of reasons, as much
as developers try to faze out bugs and errors through updates they
cannot completely assure that the app will function perfectly for
everyone.

The following is a list of reasons why you might be having problems with video recording on Snapchat.

Why will Snapchat not refresh?

1. Firstly check you're connected to the internet! Make sure you can use your web browser to access a website, why not try www.blurtit.com ;)

2. Make sure that your app is updated to the very latest version to ensure that any bugs may have been fixed.

3. Remove
the app from backgrounding, or in essence restart the app. IPhone's and
most androids have this backgrounding feature so make sure you try
this.

4. If you're app is still giving you an error try restarting your device, the classic "have you tried turning it on and off again?"

5. Try signing out of your Snapchat account and signing back in.

6. If
the problem persists further try deleting the app and re-installing it,
if that doesn't work try installing an older version, perhaps your
device just doesn't like the new version?

If you still can't fix the error then try watching this video. It covers a few things that I have missed although it claims to fix camera problems these tips will help to fix most problems:

If your Snapchat will not refresh, it could be that app has crashed or frozen.

If this is the case, there may be an easy fix. Like when programs crash on your computer, sometimes your phone may just need restarting.

  • Because we use our phones a lot, we often don't switch them off- I know I don't- and it can be a good idea to do this occasionally as it ends all running processes and closes all programs.
  • So try this first. Also double check your internet connection. Snapchat uses your phones data or wireless connection to refresh and update, so you should do a quick check of these services to ensure you are connected to the internet.
  • Still no joy? Go to your app store and see if there are any updates to download. As developers are constantly adding new features to apps, you have to make sure you have the most current version as each new version will contain bug fixes which will iron out any errors.
