Why does snapchat take forever to load?

Snapchat used to sometimes takes FOREVER to load for me. Then I found out a couple of things:

  1. Snapchat works better on Wifi then it does when you're susing up data.
  2. The speed at which the app runs s usually down to your phone or your internet connection
  3. On Snapchat's side, when the app is being used a lot (i.e. Peak times) then it might also lag a little, because their servers are dealing with a lot of requests.

I'm calling BS on the other anonymous comment. Maybe the WiFi part yes but data or signal strength is BS. I'm on 4G LTE with full signal and Snap is still slower than a slug most times. Swndong AND recieving. Even at weird times that are defiantly NOT peak times. My guess is their servers are in a back room of some hole in the wall strip joint in China somewhere.
