Snapchat needs your email address for three main reasons:
- Snapchat uses your email address to notify you about updates and Snapchat news.
- Snapchat uses emails to verify accounts, and to keep a log of active users. An email is a unique form of identification, whereas the same person could create multiple accounts.
- Snapchat sometimes contacts users via email to help with issues (such as resetting a password), or to reply to a user's enquiries.
