According to Twoo.com's frequently asked questions page, users are "suggested" new friends to discover - so it's possible this is why a random stranger has befriended you.

"Based on filter preferences, people are proposed to one another. All of this happens automatically! There's nothing you need to do, but uploading a photo and filling out your info on your profile."

It's interesting that you ask this question, because I think it's so relevant to where "social media" is at today.

Products like Twoo.com or even Blurtit, only fulfill their potential when people engage and connect with one another.

Twoo even more so because their business model is based on user's promoting themselves by paying to appear in other users' feeds more often or being suggested to them as friends.

On the other side of the argument is privacy. What happened to being able to share only what we explicitly wanted to share.

The challenge for platforms these days is striking a balance between the two.

Yes, social networks are for being social and connecting with the internet at large - but I firmly believe the burden is on the website to prove that it is trustworthy and as secure as possible.
