How To Put A Password On A Dsi?

Nintendo's DSI is the latest in handheld gaming and popular with both the young and old. However, sometimes it's nice to have a bit of privacy and protection with the help of a password or PIN. On the DSI the password is known as "Parental Controls". This guide will tell you how to:

• Setting up Parental Controls
• Remove Parental Controls
• Alter Parental Controls

Setting up Parental Controls means you will be able to control what content is available to users. To do this simply select "Settings" on the DSI menu. With the stylus press the right arrow to get to the third page of the settings menu. Select "Parental Controls" and choose "Yes" and then "Ok". You should then arrive at the PIN screen. Press "Next" and choose a four-digit PIN and select "Ok". You must then enter the PIN again to confirm it and then tap "Ok". Then you will be asked to choose a secret question for security reasons. Enter an answer to your secret question of six or more characters. Tap "Ok" and scroll to the game rating icon to choose the highest-rated game content that you will allow to be viewed on the DSI and press "Ok". You will then be asked to choose which aspects you would like to protect by PIN. Then tap "Ok" and "Yes" to save the settings and return to the settings menu.

To remove parental controls just go to the settings menu and then to the parental control page. Enter your PIN and then choose "Clear Settings". If you can't remember your PIN then select "I forgot" and you will be prompted to answer your secret question. To alter Parental Controls go to exactly the same menu as mentioned above but select "Yes" to change the parental controls. Enter your PIN and then select "PIN" or "Change Settings" and change the PIN to any 4 digit number you wish.
