Onix won't evolve no matter how many levels it grows to. If you want to evolve Onix into Steelix so much, give it a Metal Coat to hold, then trade it with another person. It should evolve into Steelix during the trade.Also, if you just want the Steelix, catch one on Iron Island or Victory road. Ciao! <3
