The problem you could be experiencing with the routers is that the signal between them is being interrupted by other devices. Any electronic device can interrupt wireless signal and can also cause the connections to drop out. The best way to conquer this problem would be to ensure that there is minimal or no electronic equipment in between the routers if possible.

Any electronic device gives off signals and electronic waves. These waves will get in the way of the wireless internet connection that is traveling from your router to its intended destination. The degree of interruption can vary depending on:

  • The strength of your wireless signal
  • The position of your router
  • The position of the electronic items in comparison to the router

Not only can electronic equipment interfere with the wireless signal, but physical objects like walls and floors can also disturb the signal. This is because the signal is required to pass through these objects in order to reach its target. This could gradually make the signal weaker and therefore less likely to connect.

You can also purchase equipment that will boost or enhance the signal that is transmitted from the router. Contact your local electronic retailer if you want to find out more about how to enhance your router signal strength.
