Can I Retrieve Deleted Messages From My Roadrunner Email Acount?

I recently moved and cancelled my roadrunner package. It is already at the place that I am moving so I didn't have to transfer service.   Come to find out, they deleted my email account!!!! I used it for work and had all my addresses on it.   When I called, I was told it could not be transfered and that I would have to set up a new sub account under the subscriber and start over. Has anyone ever dealt with such an issue? Grrrrrr!!!!!
