Depends on the number of computers.
In a 3 computer network...
The bus will have two terminators at each end of the bus, three T connections (one for each system) and two lengths of cable in between the three systems (from comp 1 to 2 and from comp 2 to 3)
A ring will generally have three lengths of cable that connect 1 to 2, 2 to 3, and 3 to 1.
A mesh can really vary but ultimately, every computer will have a "direct" connection to each system.
A star will have a central hub or switch that all computers connect to, so one for each system to the central device.
