Unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on a BarbieGirls VIP account either by purchasing it or getting someone who has purchased one to tell you there's as the website has now been permanently closed.
BarbieGirls.com was a virtual world website designed specifically for little girls aged 6 to 13 years old. It was first launched on the 24th April 2007 by Mattel Inc., the company that designed and produced the Barbie doll. After its first week, BarbieGirls.com had over 400,000 registered users and over 5 million after just four months.
Each member on the game was give a Barbie avatar that they could dress up and accessorize any way they wanted to. Each member was also given their own room which they could also dress up and decorate. Normal members who did not pay for a membership were limited in what they could use to dress up their dolls and decorate their rooms with.
VIP memberships for BarbieGirls.com had to be paid for and each one could last either one month, three months or six months. As a VIP member of BarbieGirls.com, you had all kinds of perks that ordinary members didn't such as the ability to visit exclusive lands, play all the games on the website without any restrictions, earn B bucks, buy all the latest clothes and even you own pet, decorate your room without any limitations and invite your friends on the website over to your room.
However, on 1st June 2011 the BarbieGirls.com world was permanently closed down but the Barbie website itself is still up and running which does offer some games and a free membership to Stardoll.com is also offered. If you had purchased a 3 or 6 months membership when the website closed then you will need to contact Mattel Inc. Directly with queries regarding your refund.
