I had the same problem, I almost went out and bought a new set.
I called Philips and one of there techs mentioned that the 4 blinks reffer to a "software update".
I followed his instructions and my Tv is working again.
So: I went to Philips.com/usasupport, then searched by model, software updates. I downloaded the file, extracted it and then I placed it in a flash drive (no other files). Unplugged the tv. When I plugged it in again , the flash drive show activity, soon after, the tv cam on to show a progress bar, then a succesfull mesage screen came on. It's working great.
Good luck.
