How To Evolve Scyther In Pokemon Platinum Without Trading?

You have to send up a scyther (while its holding a metal coat) ask for something stupid like level 1 ho-oh or level 1 mew trade another pokemon that you could simply trade go to deposited scyther and it should have evolved

There is a way to evolve your scyther WITHOUT trading it off. First, deposit your scyther with whatever it needs to evolve on the GTS (metal coat in this instance).

Then you request a pokemon that is impossible to obtain (eg. Lv.1 Lugia, Lv.1 Rayquaza etc) to prevent your scyther from being traded off. Of course you could just put a very unreasonable trade, such as a Lv.1 Giratina. Then go to the GTS and seek a pokemon and trade it for a pokemon you have (preferably something worthless). After trading another pokemon, go back to your deposited scyther and take it back, it should evolve.

This trick works on any trade-evolving pokemon. Hope I helped.

You need wifi and the ability to connect to the GTS no problem. Now make your scyther hold a metal coat if you ever connected to the GTS in jublifie city then you offer it. Make sure you offer it for a good and rare pokemon, so if you lose your scyther, you get a good pokemon in return. Once you offered it make a trade in the GTS. Any trade will do, like a bidoof for a bidoof. Once you make your little trade take back scyther, it will evolve into a scizor, reason why it works because I think is that when you offered a scyther and made that trade the game thought you traded away that scyther then did a trade with a different pokemon. Sorry you can't without trading it with a metal coat

Sorry but there is no other way besides trading. YOu have to give your scyther to hold a metal coat and then trade.

Offer a scyther holding a metal coat on the GTS(for a scyther). . Then go and seek for a biddof or a starly.. One of the easy ones to get.. Trade a pokemon for a bidoof or a starly and take back your scyther it should have evolved. .

Simple. Put your scyther holding the metal coat in offer for some impossible pokemon (like a lvl 100 wurmple) and leave him in offer at jubilife wolrd trade center. Then, find a trade with ANYTHING, I reallt mean it, just any trade will do, just don't trade your scyther.
After you made the trade, just get him back, and YAY!!!! YOU HAVE A A SCIZOR!!!
P.S: This trick works with any pokemon that requires a trade to evolve
