It could be a number of things - if your screen is 3-5 years old it may be on it way out, or it might be a loose connection or it might be your video card on its way out - to check if it is just your screen ask a friend to bring their screen round and plug this int your computer if it seems fine then it must be your screen
In my case, it seemed to be the battery back up unit I had attached the computer cord to. I need another battery and so because the computer wasn't plugged into a powerful enough source, the screen turned yellow...instead of giving me the sparkling white I was used to....try looking into your power sources...and what surge protectors you have the unit plugged into...
