My first one I remember was a huge heavy tv "stand" looking thing. It almost looked like a long dresser with a tv built into it. Oh the Smurf's we use to watch! Lol!
It's National Black & White Television Day. So How Many Remember Having A Old Time Black & White Television? How Many Of You Owned One ? ππππππππππππππππππππ
Oh yes, I remember them. My parents had one when I was young. I remember watching The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in black and white!
Television and I arrived on the scene at about the same time.Β Our set had a 10-inch screen and channel buttons on the side (only 3 or 4 of them actually worked).
no I never had one I did not grown up at the time but my parents had one when they grew up in that time.
Oh yeah I remember them.Β Could only get three channels.Β For you younger folks there was no remotes!! To change a channel you had to move.
Tin foil on rabbit ears Outside antenna sometimes youβd go out and turn it to try getting the picture clear.
Watched Gunsmoke and Bonanza on old black and white.
Thanks for the memory Darren.
Growing up if we had a black and white television I was too young to remember it, we always had color televisions, it was around 1965 the color television sets hit the market big time.
We had one growing up.Β Bought a color TV around 1965.
Bought a portable single antenna B&W about 30 years ago for watching games when I was working in the garage.
Got rid of the B&W about 15 years ago when it died.
I didn't grow up at that time and my parents owned one (kind of like Megan)
I saw one in a museum. Pretty cool wood work with a really cool circular screen. Thought with some tinkering it would make a great fish tank.
My parents had one when I was young. I remember most of my friends had a color TV before we did.
