Wow! It's perfect timing for AC and stay cool day. There is a heat advisory here for a few days with temps in the high 90's. Last year I helped an HVAC friend of mine install some mini splits in my house so I was able to get rid of the window units. I'm definitely staying cool today. I'm doing an inside project here and it's 70 degrees inside. I'm not going outside much today.

Oh my goodness my AC probably runs 9 months out of the year. Ceiling fans runs year around.Β  It’s always hot here from end of March to October.

Couldn’t live without the air! It more important than heat.

Hello Willie:) Thank you for your answer well appreciate it. Yes it's 90 degrees here today and the humidity makes it feel like it's about 100 degrees outside. Hope your day was going good. Happy Saturday~!!! (((Hugs)))

House is well insulated.Β  Being dilgent about keeping the shades drawn and mindful about leaving the doors open during the day helps.Β  Even with this heat, it stays cool in here.

At night, a few hours with an oscillating fan is enough to cool things down enough to sleep.

My ac has been running pretty much non stop. We've been in the middle 90's with high humidity all week. Sometimes I run a fan, but not continuously. I hope you're staying cool, Darren.  😊

Living in Florida our a/c stays on 24/7 this time of year, and ceiling fans help. Early spring and late fall, we run them during the day but early morning and in the evening open door and windows

Gator, may I ask, what kind of electric bill do you guys have in florida?

We have solar, and by law need to be hooked up to the grid. We get a bill for a little over $10 for administrative and taxes. We pay my mother-in-law's bill and it was over $340 last month for an 1100 sf home.

WOW! We are getting screwed big time some how! The stupid electric bill in Cali goes 6-7 hundred a month using the "a/c" limited (like days where it breaks 100) At least that's how it's been the last two houses I've lived in. (It got up to 1,000 for a month in the 2 story house!)
