They made another site kind of like it called Askaholics.com. A lot of people here use that site also. But if Ask.com came back ? No, after getting dumped on after all the years, I'll pass. I like it here just fine and sure don't want to bother with that place again. Even if some did, I'd bet good money that they would stay on here also.

I joined both in the same time but i'm into blurtit than askaholic, Sincerity's right, so much discussion , however, i'm type of person that enjoy discussing something even for weeks!! but the discussion there is little bothering & sometimes turns into fight than "discussion" & recently the design patched with another site as well, became complicated & hard to use. Blurtit is way better in my outlook. only if Blurtit would find "explanation" bar for the questioners, it would be fantastic in my view!

I sure wouldn't! Too much drama on that site, I myself am glad it's done. I'm very happy here with all my old friends and all my new ones...I have no need to be elsewhere!

Ask was about the people and the personal interaction. Should it ever be restored -- and, of course, that would never happen -- I would certainly go back. But I would NOT leave Blurtit to do so. This site has a character of its own and offers facilities that Ask could have provided but chose not to.

But it wasn't about the Ask ownership and their policies: It was about the people.

Lots of Asklings went to Askaholics, many came here, many of us signed up for both sites.

The problem with Askaholics is that an unholy trinity of born-agains have hijacked the site and are turning most discussions into sermons and, sickeningly, are high-fiving each other in the comments threads. That could never have happened on Ask and is obviously not tolerated here. It's a shame. They're destroying a good site. I pop in occasionally to see if there's been any improvement, but haven't contributed there for a while.

I won't go back to the place that once cruelly kicked out their members for their own sake & business analyses without taking any opinion from it's members & people. I won't go back to the place that don't even care about who's there & who's not. They thrown us out & we weren't worthy enough for them, so why would we back to a place that we have no value in their eyes ?

So no thanks. I'm enjoying my time on Blurtit. It's so much better & suits me. Ask can go the hell now!!!! Since that day my chrome's search bar never seen ask.com be written on it.

I know that is one thing I don't like, but I am the type that like discussions and in the real world people usually stick to small talk. Many of the religious people are not very accepting of people who lack faith.

Blue Lou I am very picky with the discussions I choose to discuss about. It's not like I answer every questioned asked I got things to do..lol
