Im really missing Sodahead and the community I once belonged too. @People from Ask.com, How do you feel that your site is also going down the tubes?

I was a little sad at first. It's hard to see a good thing go, but, to be honest, I'm not going to miss ASK. I find the community here far more friendly and it is far easier to be social here and get to know more people. This site is designed to help people and what better way to help someone than by getting to know them a little. The mods are also more friendly and open here. Best of luck to you.

thanks for your answer Corey.. Sodahead was too open so i find that this site (blurtit) is a little restricting in some areas that i was use too with sodahead. but the Mods here are way friendlier than Sodahead. and i like how involved they are and how they have good humours.

We had the opposite. ASK was very strick on their rules. I found this site very open, lol. I also love how the mods are more involved in the community and in great humor. They don't just answer your question either; they make their answer more personal.

I've been through this before when several on-line chess clubs went down the gurgler. It never feels good.

Ask were more responsible than SodaHead in that they gave us a few weeks' notice. That enabled us to download any information we wanted to keep from our pages (I've kept about 30 pages complete from the four-plus years I was there) and to arrange methods to keep contact with our friends.

As a result many people emigrated to Blurtit but one of our members set up an individual website for us to use as a discussion group. I think it'd be a bit tacky to promote it on Blurtit but it's also very popular.

I understand that for you SodaHeaders it would have been worse than for us because you were given no notice. And that is treating you with total contempt.
