Why does my app store say no connection?

The Google Play store seems to have a problem with users seeing a "no connection retry" message lately (I'll get to iOS in a second)

This could be down to two things on Play Store:

  1. Your internet connection
  2. You have incorrect "date & time" settings, which are confusing the Play Store

If you're having problems connecting to the iOS app store, then incorrect time & date settings may also be an issue. 

The following are also common issues that can affect connectivity:

  • Invalid or unidentified serial number
  • Your network preference settings are incorrect
