It's frustrating, isn't it, when you're making a sweet board of some of your favourite pins, then your app goes loco and your screen freezes up. Why does that happen?
Bugs. The kill joy of all apps. Unfortunately they're unavoidable, but you can overcome them by making sure you download the regular updates that appear in your notification centre. Sometimes these are to introduce new features, but mostly they are to try and tackle reported bugs which crash your app.
Your phone. If your phone is an older iPhone or Android it may be that it is struggling to cope with the latest versions of your apps. If this is the case, just make sure that you regularly quit apps that you aren't using to reduce the amount of memory your phone is using.
