Oovoo is a online social video messaging service, available to download and use on Macs, PCs and iPhones. Oovoo was first released onto Microsoft Windows in 2007. It is similar in some ways to the Skype service.
Oovoo can also be used for business purposes, with conferencing software allowing phone and video calls from up to 12 different locations.
Oovoo Is Free to Download and Use
The service, as with many other free services, makes its money from advertising, but paying for the 'Premium' oovoo account stops adverts from appearing.
OoVoo also has integration features not available on the similar Skype app. Built-in tools allow users to record a video chat and then upload it to YouTube. In addition, Oovoo also offers a way for a person in a video chat to choose a YouTube video and show it to other users as part of the video chat.
