I have 3 people a week from india, with no profile picture and a bunch of spam in their profile description adding me every week. They have no connection to me what so ever, and have no connection to my friends.
A small charge could fix a the large issue of hackers and spammers using social engineering to get into communities and exploit people.
The worst case scenario involves facebook users moving to Google+, which means everyone will get Gmail and the world will a more unified (better) place.
