Difference between centralised database and distributed database
Distributed database is the collection of multiple database that are distributes over the computer network. Information about different departments as database lies at different computers. A distributed database management system (DDBMS) manages the distributed databases.
Where as Centralised Database resides on a mainframe, miniframe or a Server and accessed by the client computer on a network. A database management system (DBMS) manages the centralised databases.
