Go online and access your email provider which could be Google, Hotmail, Yahoo and so on. Once you have located their homepage you will see a link that will take you to the sign-in section of the website.
Click on the appropriate link and you will notice that you will be required to fill in your email address and password. You should also see underneath the box that there if an option that reads 'Forgot your Password?' or something similar to that effect.
Click on this link and depending on which email provider you use you should be asked to reset your password. Follow the steps that they provide you and fill in all the relevant information that they ask. Sometimes you will go through the process of retrieving the password that you have lost, however the majority of the time you will be required to fill in a new password.
In most cases you will get sent an email to the address you provide with a link telling you to change your password. You should fill in your new password and then repeat it in the box below to confirm it. Now you should be able to access your email account with your new password.
