In a PlayStation 3, you have to open the message first. Only then can you access all the functions associated with the message you want to forward.

  • X Button
Next, you have to press the X button (the blue button on the right of the controller, at the bottom of the diamond arrangement). This then allows you to edit the message you selected. You then press the X button again to begin highlighting portions of the message. There will then be an option that pops up, allowing you to copy the portion of text you highlighted.

  • Open new message
The next stage is to open up a new message. The first thing you need to do is to add the recipient you want to send the message to. Once this is done, you can then press X to enter the text you want to send.

  • Paste text
On the bottom of the keyboard, there should be two small icons that are accessible. One of those icons allows you to paste text. Once you select this option, and paste in the text you copied from the earlier message, you will be shown a preview of the message you are about to send. Once you are happy with what you have written, you need to press the X button.

Once you have pressed the X button, the portion of the message you want to forward should have been sent to the recipient you allocated while you were writing the message. Job done.
