I used a 17mm deep socket to slip over the receptacle. Unplug the head light and the
parking light ( so you can make room to ratchet the wrench) then turn the bulb base in a
counterclockwise direction until it loosens. Keith W.

I have a 05 rav 4 and whoever designed the front parking light bulb location should be shot. You just about have to remove the fender to get to it. Both mine are burned out because I'm not wasting an hour of my time on each side to get to it because of some idiot desinger can't do his job better..
