My Samsung Finesse Model: Sch-r810 Has Frozen How Do I Unfreeze It?

The Finesse is very buggy.  I had this problem and tried everything including a reset and software flash.  Ultimately, it started working again on its own one day.  The problem has recently begun again and has now been slow/frozen for a few weeks.  Several other people that I know that have the phone have had the same issue.  I cannot believe Samsung would turn out such a piece of garbage.  I will ship it back for warranty service, sell it, and avoid Samsung and Metopcs going forward.
