GO ONLINE TO THE MANUFACTURER WEB SITE, FIND YOUR UNIT AND WHAALA! O.K Using a search engine, enter the name of the unit manufacturer. find the home page of the manufacturer and click it. Look for the "support" area and click that. They will then ask,(or provide a pull down menu) for the type of unit in question and, (another menu) the model, type or number. Click on yours. If they fail to list your exact one, choose the closest to yours you can find or if all else fails just guess. The end result, from any of the three suggestions, will be a copy paste or a pdf download of the information you need. Even if the info is for another model etc. You'll notice the codes they show are generally within the same number range. From there it's guess work but you're closer, Stay within 10 to 20 digits apart

A bug in legacy code does not require an urgent fix. If it did, the bug would have been reported long ago. A bug in legacy code affects revenue less than a bug in new code, because people reporting these bugs have already purchased the product https://geniusee.com/single-blog/working-with-legacy-code . It’s not like they can get their money back, though some of them might end their maintenance agreement if you don’t fix bugs. Legacy systems are closer to replacement, so bug fixes will have a short lifetime. There’s just no profit in fixing bugs in legacy code.

Try RCA's web site under Accessories and enter the remote number which is RCR860.  They have both codes and user guide in pdf format.  Follow the link:  www.rcaaccessories.com
