If your talking about Heatran you do whatever it is that buck wants you to do guard the mountain and when you come in charon or whatever the dudes name is, is going to get caught buy the police now if you go back to where charon was caught there you will find heatran and catch him(platinum version)
If you want Dioamond or Pearl version you just do whatever buck wants you to do when you go up he will find the magma stone to summon Heatran or whaterver but he will not be summoned so you go back and buck says he will go and put the stone back but when you return heatran will be there for your pleaseure to catch
