A Laptop is a form of personal computer. It got its name from its usage, as it is specifically designed in a way that it is easy for a person to operate it by putting it on his lap.
The idea of a personal computer that can be used while traveling came after the formal success of personal computers around the world. Such as machine was first designed by Alan Kay in the year 1968 while he was working at Xerox in PARC. The first commercial laptop was launched by I.B.M in September 1975.
