You cannot upload photos directly to Google: It is just a search engine. Instead, it checks websites all over the internet for photos and creates links to them - this is what appears when you search for something. This means you cannot store images there in the same way as you can on a photo sharing site such as flickr.com or Picasa Web Albums. However, uploading your photos to sites like these is one of the best ways to get your photos to be viewed on Google Images. Google checks these sites fairly often for any new images, so as long as you haven't blocked it with strong privacy settings and have a description next to the image it should appear on the search. You need a description so that Google knows what keywords to recognise in order to show the picture. Uploading your pictures to any website at all should mean they will appear on Images eventually, but as sites like Flickr are specifically for photos they get checked more often. They are also a useful backup for your pictures. If you have your own website you can add pictures to there, or you could upload to a blog. You might have to wait a while before your picture appears (possibly up to a few weeks before it's found - the whole internet has to be searched after all!) but it should be there soon!
