I believe that restrictions should be placed on cellphones if youre driving or in a restaurant, but it shouldnt be restricted all together, because for some people, thats the only way that they stay connected to others and if someone has an emergency, they can use it to get help. Banning cell phones all together is also a restriction on our personal freedoms and it has gone too far.
Should Restrictions Be Placed On The Use Of Mobile (cell) Phones In Public Areas Like Restaurants And Theaters?
No, I do not see any reason why any attempt should be made to usurp more of people's personal freedoms. The patriot act is bad enough for people as it is. Most people these days are living constantly under surveillance due to so called security concerns. However, its up to the people. They should be educated about not letting their activities become a public nuisance. They can keep their cellphones silent and on vibration but no restrictions should be imposed on them as to make it mandatory.
Restrictions Should not be placed on the use of Mobile phones in public areas because of the fact that what if there is an emergency. Some people work off of their phones and that would just be wrong. Yes it is rude if you are at the check out lane and the cashier is talking to you. Get of the phone for that period of time. If your watching a movie than put your phone on vibrate or silence than if someone calls walk out of the theater and than call the person back. If your in a Restaurant than you need to put the person on hold whom ever is on the other line. That's How I feel
