First thing I recommend for when someone drops their phone in water is to leave it in a bag of dry rice overnight, perhaps even into the next day. If that doesn't work, then it means that there was some damage to the hardware itself.
I dropped my phone in water. When I picked it up I realized it can't play sounds and there is a headphine icon that won't go. Any suggestions on how to solve it?
well i would personally recommend that outting phone in a rice bag works well , but placing your cell phone in open sun and letting it dry for two or three days will surely work well , and dont try to on it untill its fully dry, however for future use some water repellent protectors like shark-proof , they work well and dont let water to enter your cell phone, and also scratch resistant . Liquid protectors are gaining market due to their beneficial features, do try them.
