How to recover files from corrupted SD card?

There are several recovery software to solve this problem. Recuva is always my first choice, but its preview is not very good. Here you could also try RePicvid Free Photo Recovery (for photo/video/audio files), which offers free scanning and allows you to preview files.

You might be thinking that it will be hard to do a data recovery to get the files from your corrupted SD card. But it is actually possible and quite easy if you follow these steps:

1.You can save and rescue your files by inserting the corrupted SC card into your PC.
2.Then from the "Start" button, select the Computer tab or option on the taskbar.
3. Search for your SD card by clicking the "Devices with Removable Storage".
4. You have to press the Start button, and in the search box, please type "cmd." Once found, you have to right-click the "cmd.exe" and choose the "Run as administrator"" option.
5.A dialog box will appear and in that command window, please type the command: chkdsk [sd card drive letter]: /f /r /x and press enter.
6. Once it is prompted, Chkdsk will then start checking and fixing any possible errors on the corrupted SD card. It will then recover readable information.
