Actually, a smartphone does need security software. They are just as vulnerable if not moreso than a computer as many of the security protocols in a computer are not present in a smartphone. For example, entering a password (Mac, Linux) or giving administrative privileges (Windows) when installing software. I would recommend using AVG mobile and/or Advanced System Care mobile for protection.

That's an optimistic question. The same array of anti-virus software isn't available for them but they're just as vulnerable.

Who told you smartphones don't need security software? They do, and if you don't have it you should get it.
