Does Snapchat delete conversations?
Users of Snapchat flock to the internet on a daily basis to ask whether Snapchat deletes conversations. Whether this is because they've sent something embarrassing that they now regret, or simply don't want to leave a lasting footstep on the internet is irrelevant. The short answer to the question is: No, Snapchat does not delete conversations. The longer answer is laid out below.
What are the options?Snapchat provides users with an option to "clear conversations". I imagine that many people assume that once they've done this, their trail has been erased. That's not really the case.
When a user clears their Snapchat conversations they can no longer view it on their screen. Hoorah!? Not quite. Although the conversation can no longer be seen on the users profile, if it's been sent or saved, it's still very much "out there".
Why is it still out there?
When you clear your conversation, you're only removing it from your side of the chat. The person you sent it to may still have the conversation.
Also, the downside of Snapchat, in my opinion, is that people can easily take a screen shot of whatever you send. When this happens, they have an image of whatever you sent, and can technically do whatever they want with it. This is usually how nude images of people are released to the big wide world. If you don't want that to happen - don't send them!
