Why not ask the place where she got it from? And you shouldn't look at her text message's, it's privacy. But if she's young, and still a kid, and still live's in your household, or just curious about her safely, then I think you should ask her, up front. Or take it when she's not there and check. But if you're one of those parent's who don't allow their child to date, and want to find out who she's texting, then I think you check for yourself(If she's old enough to date, like 16 and up) . Who know's, she might be messaging older guys, or sending photo's. But it depend's on you, you're the parent, and should place some rule's for your child.
