No I don't think it would be weird, especially if they gave you there number. Its a good thing, and you will be able to tell if they want to talk if they get back to you. You never know you might become good friends.

No as I think it would be the opposite in fact,meaning you wouldn't feel awkward or shy trying to have a conversation with someone who isn't actually if front of you and putting you off.
