New tech and accounting software have simplified bookkeeping and accounting easier for small to medium-sized businesses, but it does not completely eliminate expensive accounting mistakes.

Some mistakes may have minimal effect on a company’s financials and can be corrected. Whereas other mistakes are more serious and can have a significant impact by misrepresenting the company's actual financial health.

It acts as a back-up bookkeeper by not allowing mathematical errors to go unnoticed as they usually are highlighted in red so the bookkeeper sees there is an error & he/she must figure it out.♥

It helps the bookkeeper from missing mistakes. I know I've spent many an hour looking for a two cent error, when doing it the old way, without a computer.
