According to me h/w and s/w are different thing but without the help of each other they cannot run as h/w need s/w as for example with cable (let's consider as S/w) and t.v set(let consider H/w) unless and until both present we can't watch TV.
Why we call hardware and software are two sides of coin
Hardware and software work together in digital devices and systems to provide computerized functionality. Because of this, a computer must have both hardware AND software to work. Hardware is the physical components of a computer; motherboard, hard drives, monitor, etc. Hardware and software are mostly in computers, but also run in cell phones, PDA [personal digital assistants], GPS units [Global Positioning Satellite], and medical equipment.
I thinkk I need help understanding this! I'm only 14!!!!!!
First, you supply input when you start the computer. Then the organized software tells the CPU to start up definite programs and to turn on some hardware campaign so that they are prepared for extra input from you. This whole process is called booting up.
The subsequently step happens when you pick a program you desire to use. You tick on the icon or go into a control to start the program. Let's use the instance of an Internet browser. Once the program has started, it is prepared for your commands. You either go in an address (called a URL, which stands for Uniform Resource Locator), or click on an address you've saved already. In each case, the computer now knows what you desire to do it. The searching software then goes out to discover that address, initial stage for other hardware strategy, such as a modem, when it wants them. If it is able to discover the right address, the browser will then inform your computer to propel the information from the web side over the phone cable to your computer. Finally, you observe the web site you were looking for.
