Police use computers the same as you do, however, they can only use the police computers to write crime reports, statements, log criminal files and to search the data base to carry out their duty.There are strict rules on using police computers. Any information stored is for police/police staff to use only to carry out their jobs. They must not share or use the computer for their own personal use, unless authorised and it falls in line with their duty. SOME OFFICERS DO HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET but for special reason only.
