Windows 7 is a rely good operating system. For formatting an Acer laptop easily you insert your windows 7 DVD in DVD drive, and restart you PC don't forget to check that your first boot option is DVD drive. After that follow the instruction, choose 32 bit if your system is 32 bit and if it is 64 bit then choose 64 bit. If you want to format all you drives then delete all and make again if not then select on your first partition. And after that follow the instruction.
